Help Families Living in Fear

The Tree House Child Advocacy Center of Montgomery County is our agency’s quarterly charity partner! This incredible center was founded to support children victims of sexual or physical abuse. We know it can be incredibly difficult for children and teens to report abuse. When they do, they are often ridiculed by their peers and threatened by the accused. Victims of minor-based violence experience a myriad of complications including depression, fear, anxiety, flashbacks, and panic attacks. It is a heartbreaking fact but 1 in 6 boys and 1 in 4 girls are sexually abused before the age of 18.

No child or teen deserves to live in fear. The Tree House Child Advocacy Center helps youngsters all over our state who have been victimized and offers services focused on improving their well-being. These pupils are victims of terrible circumstances, victims of fear, victims of the silence of the majority, victims of an epidemic of minor-based violence. But most of all, they are victims of a system that has failed to protect them. We understand that many here in our community are at risk and we want to help empower these victims by arming them with the necessary tools to break free from the vicious cycle of abuse!
